Princeton Review ranks GC

The Princeton Review recognized Georgia College on the “2017 Best Colleges: Region by Region” list for the 10th consecutive year. The university is a member of the elite group classified as the “Best in the Southeast.”

U.S. News and World Report Ranks GC

  • The 2017 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges report ranked Georgia College as a Top Public Regional University. Designated ninth among the top public regional universities, Georgia College was the state’s only university to be ranked in the top 10 of this category.
  • The 2017 “Best Colleges” guidebook shows Georgia College also listed 28th on the Best Regional Universities in the South—tied with Christian Brothers University
  • U.S. News & World Report ranked Georgia College 20th as a Best Regional University for Veterans, which shows the university’s dedication to our veterans in two areas: certification for the GI Bill and participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program or in providing in-state tuition to all out-of-state veterans.
  • U.S. News listed Georgia College as a top undergraduate teaching school, ranking the university as fourth in the nation—tied with Rollins College. The J. Whitney Bunting College of Business ranked in the top Undergraduate Business Programs list.

 

 

GC ranked 4th in the state by BestColleges.com

  • The state’s designated public liberal arts institution was ranked fourth among top four-year universities within the state for on-campus education, right behind Emory University, the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech. The rankings highlight the top 26 universities in state, including University System of Georgia schools and private universities.
  • Factors considered when determining the rankings include location, affordability and student loan default percentages.
  • Georgia College ranks fifth in the state for online programs.

GC named a 2016 “Best College Value”

Georgia College has been recognized on Kiplinger’s Best College Value list. The university was one of only three public institutions in the state ranked in the top 100.

Introduced in 1998, the rankings highlight public schools, private universities and private liberal arts colleges that combine outstanding academics with affordable cost. In addition, Kiplinger has ranked the top 100 best values in each category.

GC named the best theatre college in Georgia

Georgia College has been named the best theatre college in Georgia, according to OnStageblog.com.

The “Best Theatre Colleges in Every State” listing identifies the top program based on tuition, facilities, academic rigorousness, performing opportunities, career support and location.

Also topping the list are other distinguished theatre colleges including Yale University in Connecticut, The Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in New York and Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
